A H Marks and Company Limited is committed to the responsible management of health, safety and environmental effects arising from all its activities, products and services. It has a specific commitment to the Responsible Care programme established by the UK Chemical Industries Association.

The Company operates an integrated Health, Safety and Environmental Management System and is registered to BS EN ISO 14001 : 2004  The site is regulated by the Environment Agency and has eight IPC authorisations, covering a wide range of chemistry. A H Marks has expertise in handling a wide range of chemicals. The site is regulated by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Environment Agency (EA) under the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations. These regulations require comprehensive safety reports to be submitted to the regulators. The Company has signed a declaration of commitment to responsible energy management and efficiency throughout its operations.  The Company recognises that the management of health, safety and environmental matters is a prime responsibility that extends from the Board of Directors to every single employee. We encourage the active involvement and participation of all employees, regulatory authorities and members of the local community. There is a dedicated team of three qualified staff in the Safety and Environmental Department to provide specialist advice and services within the Company.
